"If you are not a Black Belt, work on becoming one. If you are a Black Belt, work on being a better one." -Anonymous

Dear Friend,

I trust this blog finds you well.

Are you looking forward to extraordinarily intense training this Summer?

We have a lot of fantastic sessions planned for you.

Our advanced children’s class is growing at a rapid rate.

The adult Black Belts are working hard, while dealing with the realities of aging.

We are going to focus on Weaponry and Kata over the next few months.

We have a lot of very serious students at TCMA.

Our methodology is safe, sound, structured, and simple.

These characteristics are vital to our progress.

They each contribute significantly to our progress.

Martial Arts is not a pastime, it is a lifestyle.

Our focus is on personal development.

We believe that self-improvement is the most effective form of self-defense.

We also believe that self-defense training is the most complete and comprehensive  method of self-improvement.

Let's examine each characteristic of our methodology.

Our program is SAFE because we recognize that there is real danger in our training.

The dangerous aspects of the Martial Arts are abundant.

When you acknowledge them, you actually increase the level of safety.

Our training is SOUND in the sense that it is logical, intelligent, and relevant.

TCMA is practical on every level.

We use correct exercise physiology throughout our entire curriculum.

Our strategies and tactics are potent and progressive.

To sum it up, we do not run a  "self-destruction" course.

We benefit from STRUCTURED classes.

Our format is rock-solid.

You know how challenging classes are.

It is critical to prepare your mind and body for each training session.

We use a very carefully balanced combination of certainty and variety to enhance progress and results while reducing injuries and failure.

The formula works as long as you do.

Our techniques are SIMPLE.

That is a tremendous advantage.

Remember, simple does not mean easy.

In fact, it often means difficult.

Because our curriculum is simple, we are able to raise the intensity level in every session without any major confusion.

Simplicity leads to skillfulness.

Our students are proficient because they are driven by quality, not quantity.

TCMA is still evolving as a training method.

We have come a long way, and have a long way to go.

It has been, and will continue to be, an extraordinarily exciting journey.

Our Dojo is unique.

Let's keep it that way!

I look forward to seeing you and your family on the mat at the Dojo.
