The 3 G’s Of Goal Attainment
Posted: March 10, 2019
I trust this blog finds you well.
Martial Arts training is not seasonal.
We train throughout the entire year.
Martial Arts provides us with a lifestyle, if we embrace its philosophy.
Occasionally, the stress of life puts the continuity of our practice in jeopardy.
This is when a strong set of core values proves useful.
Here’s an example.
The 3 G’s of Goal Attainment...
We have 3 basic options standing between where we are, and where we want to be.
1. Give Up - Do you have a non-quitting spirit?
Giving up is the most common failure trap.
People often quit when they do not perceive instant progress toward a desired result.
It lends itself to a life of misery and despair.
2. Give In - Do you have a personal code of conduct?
If you develop a set of personal standards, you are compelled to live by them.
If not, the tendency is to give in, and accept circumstances that are not in your best interest.
Do not compromise your principles for pleasure or popularity.
It is easier to say ‘no’, if you have a powerful ‘yes’ influencing your life.
3. Give It All You've Got - Are you demonstrating your fullest potential?
We all want the most out of life, right?
Therefore, we must put the most into life.
When we give it all we've got, we feel better - win, lose, or draw.
It is how we honor our conscience.
We are happiest when we demonstrate fidelity to our high personal standards.
I look forward to seeing you and your family in class at the Dojo.
